Local Area

Including Weston-Super-Mare and the Severn Estuary

Sand Bay is a wonderfully scenic and peaceful location, set amongst the woodland hills and varied coastline, with cliffs and magnificent sandy beaches.

Situated just to the north of Weston-super-Mare, we are only a few minutes from Junction 21 of the M5 offering easy access from the Midlands, the North, Wales and the West country.

There are stunning views over the Severn Estuary and Bristol Channel with North Devon to the distant south beyond the islands of Flatholme and Steepholme. In the evening you will be delighted by the twinkling lights of South Wales to the west over the bay.

Sand Bay Beach Apartments benefits from a level location, just metres from the unspoilt sandy beach. Just a few steps take you over the quiet road onto the dunes and the 2 kilometres of beach beyond.

Our location is ideal for long walks to explore the National Trust site of Sand Point to the north. From here you can often get clear views of the Severn crossings beyond Avonmouth.

To the south, the imposing Worlebury Hills forms a natural barrier between Sand Bay and the bustling resort of Weston beyond. It’s about 2km along the scenic Toll Road that hugs the coastline and brings you dramatically
around the headland by the old pier and into Weston-super-Mare. There is a newly created coastal footpath through the woods alongside the road if you’re feeling energetic! If not, perhaps you can hop on to one of the open-top buses
that run a regular service to/from Sand Bay through the Summer months.
